IO-Warrior 24

On the robot an IO-Warrior 24 with 16 I/O pins is installed. The IO-Warrior 24 board is connected to the control PC via USB and provides the following features:

• 16 I/O Pins, typ. 125Hz read rate
• IIC master function, 100kHz, throughput typ. 750 bytes/sec
• SPI master interface, up to 2MHz, throughput typ. 750 bytes/sec
• Controlling HD44780 compatible LCD
• Driving a up to 8x32 LED matrix
• Decoding of RC5 compatible infra red remote controls
• DIL24 or SOIC24 package

Up to now, through the I/O pins the laser range finders, the fans for the drive motors, the pan-tilt unit and the BarrettHands™ can be switched on and off.

A modul for a Roblet®-server was developed to enable a remote application to switch the connected devices on and off.
