public class DcoreDisassemblerOrHexCanvas
extends MemoryHexEditorField

A canvas to display either raw D*CORE memory contents (hex format) or a list of disassembled D*CORE instructions. This class can only be used to visualize 16-bit wide memory, where all accesses are word-aligned (two-byte boundaries).

The following list describes the editing functions of MemoryHexEditorField:

Click somewhere in the MemoryHexEditorField to activate and position the cursor (an underline characted) at the mouse position.
Subsequent key and mouse events are then applied to the digit at the cursor position.
Click again or use the cursor keys (left/right/up/down) to move the cursor.
Use the Tab or +Tab keys to position the cursor to the next or previous data element. Alternatively, you can use 'space' and +space for this purpose, which is helpful if your GUI manager interprets the 'Tab' character to switch to the next input field...
Use page-up/page-down to show the next/previous screen of data values.
Use page-home and page-end to move to the first and last screens of data values (addresses near 0 and n_word respectively).
Use +cursor-up/+cursor-down to increment/decrement the digit at the cursor position. You can also use the middle/right mouse buttons for this.
Use the keys '0' to '9' and 'a' to 'f' to enter a hexadecimal digit at the cursor position. This will also move the cursor to the right, to allow you to directly type the next digit.
If you continue typing digits while the cursor is already at the rightmost position, the value in the register will be shifted left -- allowing you for fast type-ahead of the full number value without concern for the initial cursor position. (Also, if you mistyped something, just enter the desired value again.)
If you are typing a value in the address field (left row), the editor will jump to the corresponding address.
Press +I to insert a new data value, shifting the upper memory locations.

Add your own objects as ActionListeners for all value changes on a MemoryHexEditorField by calling MemoryHexEditorField.addActionListener().

Note that MemoryHexEditorField currently uses class java.lang.Long to parse hexadecimal numbers, which are therefore assumed to be signed. This may lead to surprising behaviour when tried on 64-bit registers, but it should work ok with registers from 1 to 63 bits. Please complain to Javasoft that we do need unsigned integers after all...
