Research
My general research interests are in the fields of robotics, cognition and artificial intelligence with respect to biological archetypes, multimodal processing and high level robot control.
As a participant of the international graduate colleg CINACS the main focus of my work is on cross-modal interactions of robot sensor and actuator devices. I will investigate approaches to planning real-world perception and action based on multimodal memories. A system should allow reasoning about following actions with respect to the situated context by using past experience. Thus the information of past events - the experience - should be stored in a kind of memory.
