TAMS / Java / Hades / applets (print version): contents | previous | nextSeven-segment display
DescriptionAnother demonstration of the common
seven-segment displays
still found on pocket calculators, digital-clocks,
and many other devices.
Using only seven LEDs per digit,
the decimal digits 0..9,
the hexadesimal digits A,b,c,d,E,F,
and a few other symbols and letters can be displayed.
The applet shows a few hard-wired displays (letters and digits)
and a display driven by the TTL-series 7449 seven-segment
decoder integrated circuit.
For a comparison, see the
discrete
seven-segment decoder
and the
SN7449 demo
applet.
